Paper Boat Regatta 2010

You might remember that last year we joined Noah and Jude's friends Kirby and Roe to sail paper boats. We decided to continue the tradition and sail our paper boats again- it looks like we may have started a tradition. The boys have so much fun setting the boats in the creek and watching them float away. Roe was big enough this year to join in on the fun!

Fun with Friends

Here is Noah and a few friends having fun at church on Sunday. They had built a "boat" and were cruising to Disney World.

Circus!

Jude at the Circus

We spent Saturday morning at the Circus! Our friends Bebe and Ted invited us to go to the circus with them and their son Kirby. Noah's friend Emsley and her parents came along too! We all had such a great time and were completely spoiled in a suite at the arena. Jude slept through the first 2 hours, but woke up in time to see some elephants do their tricks. Noah especially loved all of the motorcycles, elephants and tigers! Thanks again Bebe and Ted for including us in such a fun day. Be sure to check out all of the pictures of the kids having fun at the circus.

McDonalds at Disney World

McDonalds at Epcot

We took Noah and Jude to Disney World for the first time on Sunday. Greg and Elizabeth were in Orlando visiting Andrew, Betsy and Annie and invited us to go to Disney with them. We started the day at Epcot and then headed to the Magic Kingdom after lunch. Surprisingly, all of the kids were really well behaved and there were not any meltdowns, Noah even napped in his stroller. Noah rode a few rides including Pirates of the Caribbean. Jude even went on rides at Epcot, including Finding Nemo. And even though we got rained on, it was a really great day! Be sure to check out all of the pictures.

Noah at the Park

Our friend Bebe has been kind enough to take care of Noah a couple of afternoons since Jude's arrival. One day last week she took Noah and her son Kirby to the park to feed the ducks and play. Noah has not stopped talking about Kiki (Kirby) since then. Thanks Bebe for all of your help & for letting Noah hang out with his best friend.

Katie & Drew's Wedding

Thanks to Dad and Noushin, we had a great time in Atlanta this weekend at Katie and Drew's wedding. Noah was fortunate enough to spend the weekend with them while we got to take our last getaway before Noname arrives! We also got to see Greg and Elizabeth- although we were sorry that Elizabeth was battling a fierce stomach bug! Hopefully she is feeling better now! Thanks again to Dad & Noushin for taking such great care of Noah while we were away- and thanks too for our new double stroller!

Countdown

4 weeks / 30 days / 720 hours / 43,200 minutes / 2,592,000 seconds

No matter what unit of measure you use, Baby Noname does not have long at all until he takes his first gasp of air.

We are getting very excited, and received the upgraded double stroller this week. I put it together last night and Noah has a mark on his face to prove that his climbing and Daddy's construction skills don't mix. Thank you to the Texas Turemans, the Great Bridge Hunters (plus popeplyslax and kittycait), John and Noushin, and Sherry's grandparents (I will come stay at your house for a week, if you can post a comment on this blog) .... it is truly uncalled for and truly appreciated.

Noah is still pretty oblivious to how much his world is about to change, but he has shown that he understands the concept of sharing at a play group this week so that was a great sign.

Shoutout: Welcome Tate Lueck

We received an announcement yesterday that Anjali Lueck had her baby!  Congratulations to Sean, Anjali and Nina.

From her blog:

I went from four cm to eight cm in forty five minutes, with no epidural!

Apparently she dilated very quickly on her 2nd one.  Wonder if Sherry will have the same situation?  And wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing... cause I cannot imagine Sherry without her epidural.

Shoutout: The Ryans

I decided that I since most of the people that visit this site know my friends and family that I would start to highlight some of them that are sending me pictures and come to visit me, etc. And yes this is an obvious attempt to bribe my friends to come visit me and send me pictures (if you don't want to see yourself on the internet then just let me know).

So here is my first shoutout.

Here is my good friend Andrew, and his beautiful wife and daughter, Betsy and Annie. The Ryans live in Orlando and we don't make the effort to see them as much as I would like, but I am going to try to do a better job. Annie was born in November 2005 and Noah has a small crush on her. Much like Sherry she has the out of town mystic going on, and when he sees her he usually has the sense that if he doesn't act fast she will leave and go back out of town and he will be left to ponder the possibilities.
