Beach Day

What are you looking at?

Noah

To spice things up, we spent a day out at Daddy John & Noushin's beach condo last week (thanks!). Nicole and Jackson joined us for a morning play date on the beach. Jackson, Noah and Jude had a blast running (and crawling) around in the sand and dodging waves. Ben brought us lunch and then Daddy John came home early with George to play in the afternoon. Noushin and Ben were back in time for dinner. We had a great day and hope to do it again soon!

Stitchless

Noah had his stitches removed this morning by his pediatrician. He sat perfectly still while she snipped them out- it was really painless! It probably helped that I promised him Batman fruit snacks if he sat there and let her fix his boo-boo. Fruit snacks are currently our best secret weapon for bribing Noah.

Vacation 2008- What not to do on Vacation

Stitches!
We were visiting a friend on Friday and Noah went running for the car, tripped and his head hit the hubcap of our car! When Ben picked him up, he was covered in blood! We rushed to the ER where they put 3 stitches on Noah's head. He already had a black eye from a toy fight with his cousin Jack the day before, so needless to say, vacation was not too nice to Noah!

Injured Noah

Noah doesn't seem to notice the stitches and we are scheduled to get them removed on Wednesday. Keeping with the pain theme, Jude cut his top 2 teeth while we were vacationing (he now has 4 teeth). He didn't mind too much though!

Vacation 2008- Part 2

We arrived in Virginia on Sunday evening after a long day of traveling. Both Noah and Jude did great during the car ride and we are especially thankful that the Arrowsmiths let us borrow their portable DVD Player. Noah is a big fan and I am not sure he is going to let us give it back!

We went to Ocean Breeze water park on Monday with Shawn, Regina, Jack, Emma, Shelley, Taylor and Caitlin. There is a huge kids area and everyone had a blast. Wednesday we went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg with Shawn, Regina and Jack. The weather was perfect and Noah and Jude had a great time. Jude was not too fond of the stroller, but that’s okay.

We also made sure to visit all of Noah and Jude’s great-grandparents. They were super excited to see the kids and we enjoyed spending time with them. Regina also hosted a brunch on Saturday before we left town so that we could see the rest of our family that lives in the area.

Vacation 2008-Part 1

Last weekend we headed up to Charleston, South Carolina to kick off our weeklong family vacation. We met up with our friends Andrew, Betsy and Annie from Orlando. We also got together with Greg and Elizabeth at Greg’s parents house in Kiawah Island. Annie is just a few months older than Noah, so he was super excited to see her! Betsy and Elizabeth are both pregnant, so next year Jude will have a few new playmates.

The boys got to play golf Saturday and we all enjoyed the pool Saturday afternoon. Sunday we got in the car and headed north to start Vacation 2008- Part 2…

Daddy's Birthday!

Yesterday was Daddy's 33rd birthday! He had the day off work, so he decided to finally take the golf lesson that was given to him for Christmas (thanks John & Noushin)! While he was gone, Noah helped bake a cake for him.

Chef Noah

Grandma Lois came over in the afternoon and helped celebrate. Noah helped blow out the candles and we all enjoyed cake (even Jude)!

Make a Wish!

For dinner, Mommy and Daddy went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and enjoyed a great meal. They even brought out dessert with a candle, so Daddy got to make another wish! It turned out to be a great day.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Jude on the move

Here is a video I took this afternoon of Jude using his newly developed crawling skills to chase the computer around the living room.

Enjoy.

PS. This morning he was standing up when Sherry went to fetch him from the crib.

6 Years Later

We celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary this weekend! We had a sitter watch the boys on Saturday night and we went to dinner at Chew. It was our first time dining there and it was absolutely fabulous. We had the chance to sit down and talk (without being interrupted by our kids!) and remind ourselves how lucky we are to have spent the last six years of our lives together!
