Reunions and Babies

Jude & Aunt Sarah
Aunt Sarah and Heidi were in town this weekend for Sarah's 20th high school reunion. Jude and Noah love their visits, especially because they always shower them will lots of love and attention!
Heidi & Sara
We were lucky to shower them this weekend with a baby shower! We are anxiously awaiting the addition of another baby boy in August. Now they'll have a boy of their own to spoil!

6 months!

Can you believe it? Jude is already 6 months old! We went in today for his 6 month check up. He weighed in at 20 pounds 6 ounces and is 28 inches tall (90% for both)! After looking at the measurements and looking at Noah standing there, Dr. Sanchez said that we definitely have some very tall boys on our hands and that will most likely carry on into their adult lives. Jude did great during the appointment and Noah played with his cars the entire time. Jude has a little fluid in his ears (most likely left over from our colds last week). We decided not to start an antibiotic right now and instead we are going back in to have him check them again in a few weeks, just to make sure an infection doesn't develop. He only cried a little bit after his FOUR shots! Noah made sure to tell him "you alright Jude".

Welcome Welcome

My favorite restaurant in Norfolk was a southern fusion place called Cora. It was named after the owner's grandmother. I now have a new reason to love that name. Our good friends Ryan & Anne gave birth to their daughter, Cora Elizabeth, just over 2 hours ago (gotta love the digital age).

Congratulations to the McGraws!! We can't wait to meet her.

N-O-H!

Noah can spell his name!
In preparation for starting preschool in the fall, Noah has been practicing spelling his name! Although he is convinced that his name is spelled N-O-H, he did line up all four magnetic letters of his name today!

Saturday Fun

Everyone has pretty much recovered from their colds and we have had a great weekend- and it is only Saturday night.
Friday we went out for pizza with Daddy John and Noushin. They came back to our place afterwards and Noah had a blast racing Noushin around the house. He loves to yell "Ready, Set, GO!"
This morning we went over to Brad and Heather's house to check out the progress on their new kitchen before they left town to go to the Masters. They have been in the middle of a complete kitchen remodel for the last 2 weeks and are finally in the home stretch. It looks fantastic!
After eating breakfast with Brad and Heather, we went to the park to burn off some energy. As usual, Noah just wanted us to push him in the swings the entire time. He never gets sick of swinging!
Nathan, Nicole and Jackson came over this evening and we cooked out while Noah and Jackson "played" together as well as two 2 year olds can play together. Mostly they just pushed each other around and took toys from one another. Nonetheless it was a fun evening and the weather was beautiful!

Restful Weekend

Sitting Up
Originally uploaded by beebe4
All of the boys in the house are battling a cold so we spent the weekend at home. It started with Noah, then spread to Dad and now Jude has a cough! Hopefully Mom will get lucky and not catch it!
After a few nights of letting Jude cry it out, he finally slept through the night last night from 8 until 4:30. We'll just have to wait and see if he keeps it up. He can almost sit up on his own now, although he tends to fall over if distracted by anything. He picked his stomach up off the ground for the first time last week, so maybe crawling isn't too far off in the future!

Family Update End of March

Noah has been able to count to 10 for a while, so I thought I would teach him to count from 11 to 20 exponentially... he truly is a smart kid.

Also in this video:
- Jude (5 month old) learning to talk
- Noah playing the sleeping beauty game
- I 1 minute pictorial of the McDonald Family's growth from 2006 to now.
