Happy Easter!

We’ve been lucky to have lots of family in town all week! Sarah and Heidi were here all week from Pennsylvania and Leigh was here from Alaska. We enjoyed a couple beautiful days with them at the beach before they went down to the river house for a few days. They are all headed home and we can’t wait until our next visit. Jude and Noah are really blessed to have such loving and fun aunts!
Shawn, Regina, Jack and Emma came down from Virginia on Friday. Shelley, Mike, Taylor, and Caitlin drove down from Virginia on Saturday. Everyone got here just in time for Sherry’s 30th birthday celebration! Ben planned a great evening overlooking the St. John’s River with lots of family and friends.
Sunday we had everyone over for lunch and the annual Tureman Birdfeeder Contest. Everyone took their time creating some of the best entries to date. Of course Dad (the judge) won the contest, but there were some outstanding (and unique) birdfeeders created. They are all hanging in our backyard, ready to attract all of the birds in Jacksonville!

Another Doctor Visit

Noah at the Park
Originally uploaded by beebe4
Noah went in for his 2 year appointment on Friday. He weighed in at 31.5 pounds (75%) and is 39 inches tall (97%). The doctor said that he is taller than most 3 year olds! It was by far the most difficult visit to the doctor's office that we have had- I guess that is what happens with 2 year olds! Noah did not want to stand on the scale, did not want to have his temperature taken and especially did not want to get a shot. It was also really great when he kept telling the nurse that she was scary! Fortunately, Grandma was able to come into town and keep Jude- otherwise I may have had a complete meltdown alongside Noah! The doctor gave us lots of helpful advice on getting Noah to be a little more adventurous with his eating habits. He was also really impressed when we told him that Noah can count to 10, knows his colors and some shapes (we're really impressed too)!!

Weekend Fun

Jumping Jude
Originally uploaded by beebe4
We had a busy weekend. Saturday, Jude had his first professional photographs taken. Noah was a little jealous of all the attention Jude was getting, but managed to hold it together for the most part. We'll be sure to share the pictures when we get them next week.
We also left both boys with a babysitter for the first time since Jude was born. We went to Aunt Sally's wedding and then to Rebekah and Erez's engagement party. Noah and Jude survived the night without us and were tucked away in bed when we got home.
Sunday, we had a great lunch at the yacht club with Daddy John and Noushin. The weather was perfect and we got to sit outside overlooking the River. We came home just long enough for Noah to nap and then we went to Kirby's 2nd birthday party. It was a pirate themed party complete with a pirate ship cake that all of the kids loved! Happy Birthday Kirby!!
