Day at the Park

Saturday afternoon, we took Noah to the park. He loved swinging and sliding down the slide (even though the slide caused massive static cling)! Most of all he loved watching the big kids run around.

Noah's laugh

So here is a video of Noah doing his crazy laugh. The humor of this clip is heightened, by Sherry's choice in a wonderful cap that she purchased for Noah at Target for $2. All in all, I would say he is looking as queer as a three dollar bill in this clip, but it sure does make me laugh.

Just for the record, by "queer" I mean 2a. differing in some odd way from what is usual or normal.

Noah has learned to kick the soccer ball around the living room floor, which makes Dad very happy! He also has picked up a crazy new laugh that resembles the voice of the Lion in the Wizard of Oz. It makes us laugh every time he does it! We uploaded a few new pictures on Flickr for you to check out.

Mr. Personality

It is so much fun to watch Noah's personality develop. He is becoming a master at peek-a-boo and loves for you to sit and play with him. He can now imitate my actions and will play with his toys the same way I do. If I make his toy zebra walk along the floor, he will take it and try to do the same. If I shut my eyes and peek at him, he will shut his eyes and peek at me. It is amazing to watch him learn so many new things so quickly! He can also say HI!!! And if you ask him what a dog says, he'll respond Ruff Ruff (although it is a little hit-or-miss). I can't believe we are getting ready to celebrate his first birthday, although after writing this post I am realizing how much he has changed and grown over the last year!

We had a great weekend. Friday, Aunt Leigh and Frank came into town and had dinner with us. Saturday night, Heather, Brad and Kathryn came over for dinner. Sunday we went to church and then spent the afternoon with Leigh and Frank. As you can see in Noah's picture, his teeth are finally poking through!

Teething Bites

Sorry for the lack of posts and I don't really have an excuse for why we haven't been keeping everyone updated. We had a great trip to Virginia- although as always, it went by too quickly. New Years was spent at our friends, Brad and Heather's house with their new baby Kathryn. Noah is an expert walker these days and he isn't letting a few teeth get in his way. He has been cutting at least 5 teeth since before Christmas- and they still haven't made their way through his gums yet! Poor Noah is super cranky/needy and his nose runs constantly. I ended up taking him to the doctor because I thought that he was sick. The doctor said that the symptoms are all teething related and to just give him extra TLC. I have been walking around with dried snot all over my shirt for the last few weeks. I'll be pretty happy when he finally finishes cutting these teeth, although I am sure that I won't be as happy as he will! Currently he has 6 teeth and 5 on the way.
