Lily's Baptism

We had Lily baptized last weekend and we were lucky enough that Aunt Shelley and Uncle Mike could be here with us. Of course, Lily fell asleep just before we went up in front of everyone and was quite startled when she woke up! She cried a little but it wasn't too bad. Grandma bought her a beautiful gown and Aunt Shelley gave her a matching bib to wear for the special occasion. Noah and Jude took the opportunity to dress up too!
After church we came back to the house and had lunch together.

Batman Celebration

Jude had his 5th birthday celebration on Saturday. He was so excited to have some of his friends over to play and eat cake!
Both boys had soccer games that morning, so we rushed home to get everything set up. Luckily, Aunt Shelley and Uncle Mike were in town to help. Jude helped set up for the party and packed all of the goody bags for his friends.
He was most excited about the cake! They kids spent the afternoon playing outside: a little soccer, some Superhero bingo and duck-duck-goose. It was a great birthday!

Pumpkin Time!

It still feels like summer here in Jacksonville, but the arrival of the pumpkins tells us that fall is here! Lily wasn't quite sure what to think of all of the pumpkins, so the boys picked out a pumpkin for her.

Lily: 5 months

Lily is now five months old! No doctor visit this month, so we aren't quite sure how much she weighs now- but she is definitely getting longer! Lily has started eating some solid foods- mainly sweet potatoes, bananas and avocados. She likes to eat! We made no progress on "naturally" sleeping through the night, so we had to take matters into our own hands. Tonight marks night 4 of camp cry-it-out. She has done pretty well so far and has gone 7 pm to 6 am without eating each night. The first night was the worst (as it was with Noah and Jude), but last night she only woke a few times and calmed herself back down quickly. Hopefully tonight will be even better. Even though we have done this twice before, that does not make it any easier! But I think we'll all be a little happier with a few more consecutive hours of sleep each night.
She's still an angel during the day, taking regular naps and rolling along with whatever activities her brothers are participating in. October will be a big month for us- starting with Jude's 5th birthday, Lily's baptism, and then of course Halloween!
