Noah had a great first Christmas. He loved all of his wonderful presents, especially his new wagon. During our first walk with it, he smiled the entire time! He is also busy getting to konw his grandmother's new puppy, Chester! We are heading to Virginia tomorrow, but we have already posted lots of pictures on flickr. Check them out!

Santa, Take 2
I feel like I must offer some sort of explanation for why I am included in the Santa photo. This morning we took a little adventure to the mall so that Noah could meet Santa and have his picture taken. We got there pretty early, so we waited in line for Santa with all of the other excited children. Once he got there he did a lap around "Santa's Workshop" to greet the children and when he got to Noah we got our first signal that maybe Noah wasn't as excited to meet Santa as we thought he would be. He hid his head and put the death grip on my arm.... but we were determined that he was going to get his picture taken. Once it was our turn we walked up to Santa and put Noah on his lap.... and you guessed it, he started crying! I tried to give him a minute to get to know Santa... but Santa's elf was in a hurry and told me that I was going to have to be in the picture. So that's how I ended up in Noah's first picture with Santa. Don't worry if my explanation was not enough, Ben got it all on video!

Weekend Getaway
We spent our first night together away from Noah this weekend! We took a roadtrip to Atlanta to celebrate Greg and Elizabeth's upcoming wedding. Grandma was kind enough to babysit Noah overnight! She says that he did great and slept from 6:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. for her. Sherry was very anxious to get home on Sunday, but overall we had a great time visiting with friends. Congratulations Greg and Elizabeth and THANK YOU GRANDMA!

Reading a book and walking
Noah is getting pretty good at walking, but apparently doesn't like to do it on camera. Here is some footage of him enjoying a story from Mom and then Dad making him walk for the camera.

Been a while
So we are kind of slacking on keeping up with things recently, but we are hoping to improve soon. Sorry we don't have any pictures with this post, our camera docking station is not connected to the computer right now, so we are just walking around with a camera full of a month's worth of pictures- including shots of Noah at his first Thanksgiving. Hopefully we will snap out of our laziness and download the photos for everyone to enjoy.
Our trip to Virginia went really well. Noah was a real angel and behaved for the majority of our 10 hour car ride each way. Aunt Leigh and Frank were kind enough to let us crash at their house to break up the trip there. On the way back we did it all in one day and it wasn't too bad.
We did manage to put up the Christmas tree this weekend. It looks pretty good but Noah thinks it is a little strange that we have a tree with lights inside of our house. Fortunately it is located in a room that we don't frequent very often so I don't have to constantly worry that Noah is going to pull it down.
Noah went to his first birthday party today. He didn't really like the birthday hat that Dad tried to make him wear, but he did like the cake!
Noah is getting pretty good at walking. He can usually take around 10 steps before falling. The walking is resulting in lots of mishaps- so pictures of Noah's first Christmas are bound to include black eyes and bruises on the face.
