My Feet!

Noah's most recent discovery is that he has feet. This morning we went to a friends house to visit and play with other babies, but Noah just laid there staring at his own feet- even spent some time putting them in his mouth. He wasn't interested in the toys that the other babies were playing with because his feet were way more interesting! Often when we go check on him in his crib, he is just laying there holding his feet, trying to figure them out. I guess we should feel lucky that he doesn't need any fancy toys that can be dropped or forgotten somewhere- he's content to have toys that are attached to his legs in the form of feet!

Fun with Food

We've been having lots of fun with food this week- we have even added sweet potatoes to our menu. Noah seems to be getting the hang of eating, although he gets super excited about it and ends up trying to smile so big that the food runs out both sides of his mouth.
We had a great father's day at the beach. We spent the afternoon lounging under an umbrella and had a great seafood feast for dinner.
Aunt Mandy is coming to visit this weekend. We are all very excited for her to finally meet Noah!

Dad unpacked the exersaucer yesterday and put it together for Noah! So far he thinks it is pretty cool- although he doesn't quite know what to think of all the new toys at his fingertips. We went to our first playgroup on Wednesday. There were 3 girls and 2 boys (including Noah)- all born within 2 months of eachother. It was great to hear what other moms are doing with their babies. Hopefully it will become a regular thing and Noah will have some friends to grow up with. I will say that he was the LARGEST one there by far! But I guess that is no surprise!

You want me to eat that?

We saw the doctor this morning for Noah's 4 month visit. He weighs 17 pounds 14 ounces and is 28 inches long. Pretty impressive for a 4 month old! The doctor said he is ready to start eating solids- so we are testing out rice cereal this week. He is pretty interested in eating and our first attempts went really well. If we could only get him to be as interested in the bottle as he is in the spoon. Hopefully the introduction of solid food will aid us in the effort to get him to sleep through the night!! Wishful thinking, I am sure :)
